FEDTERM MANUAL - PLAYING FEDERATION 2 WITH FEDTERM

USING SCROLLBACK TO REVIEW TEXT

To see text that has moved off the top of the output window, use the scrollbar on the right hand side of the window. The scrollback buffer generally saves about 300 lines, but you can increase the number of lines saved in the buffer to 600 by selecting the 'Large Text Buffer' item from the 'Options' menu.

However, looking at previous text this way is clumsy, because every time new text is sent from the game and added to the bottom of the output window, FedTerm will jump back to that point at the end of the buffer. In order to keep looking at past text even when new text comes in, select the 'Dump to Scrollback' item from the 'Options' menu. This copies the contents of the buffer onto the scrollback page and switches the main window to that page. You can then read through the text without interruption. You can switch back and forth between the main page and the scrollback page, keeping an eye on new messages while reviewing the old.

New text is not added to the scrollback page until you tell FedTerm to dump the buffer to scrollback again.
